Courtney joined Autism Tasmania in August 2020 as an Autism Advisor.
She has a PhD in Pathology from the University of Cambridge, where she studied the genetic basis of maternal mental illness. At Cambridge, she spent a year as a graduate student Welfare Officer and wrote widely on student welfare and Millennial’s approach to work culture.
Courtney moved to Tasmania in 2019 and spent a year supporting residential students at UTAS. She also brings a lived experience of neurodiversity to her role, though she does not identify as autistic.
Her favourite stim is knitting, and she aspires to be able to do a single pull-up.
