Lisa was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome in October 2010. She was born and raised in California and earned a PhD in marine biology in 2005.

Specialising in jellyfish, Lisa was the Head of Science at the Queen Victoria Museum in Launceston, followed by seven years as a Research Scientist at CSIRO.

Lisa is passionate about fairness, equality, and communicating positive pathways forward for people of all ages on the Autism spectrum. She has served on the Autism Tasmania Board since 2019.
