Needs-based funding for students with disability in Tasmania

Last week, Minister for Education Jeremy Rockliff announced the Tasmanian Government had taken the first steps toward implementing a needs-based funding model for students with disability, replacing the IQ-based models used up to now. This has been a longtime goal for disability education advocates, and we at Autism Tasmania welcome this news enthusiastically.
