The Autistic community is at the core of our work including our professional learning and development program. Autism Tasmania’s Professional Development Program works to increase knowledge and skills as well as build capacity. Our workshops develop a working knowledge of autism, common challenges, effective strategies, and overall best-practice when working with a client or colleague on the spectrum.

This work improves outcomes for the Autistic community by fostering greater acceptance, confidence and removing the barriers to access for the Autistic community. Our programs are informed by the latest research evidence and delivered by our team of expert Educators and diverse Autistic Consultants sharing their lived experiences.

We have several options available for the delivery of our programs:

  1. Choose from our range of ticketed sessions listed in the calendar below
  2. Select one of our specialised workshops to be delivered onsite at your business or organisation

“This workshop was one of the most relevant, best delivered professional learning sessions that I have attended.”

“An excellent presenter who pitched the presentation perfectly for my needs. She [had] obviously done her homework in relation to how [our services] work, because her insight into what education we might need was exactly on point.”

“One of best presented Professional Development sessions I have attended; very informative, definitely not boring, the speakers truly enlightened and inspired me. I am signing up to attend additional Professional Development workshops and have insisted that colleagues attend your sessions. I have not stopped thinking and talking about this.
