L&D Prof. Development Coordinator

Jodie joined the Autism Tasmania team 12 years ago initially in an administrative capacity, but has held a variety of roles within the organisation over her tenure, including that of Autism Advisor. She now co-ordinates our professional learning and development program and also delivers training workshops in an educator role.

Jodie brings with her a wealth of knowledge and lived practical experience concerning autism. She is a parent to two autistic young adults and has also played an integral role in the life-long care and support of her adult autistic brother. This first-hand experience has provided her with a strong and invaluable understanding of the unique challenges and triumphs associated with living with and raising individuals with autism.

Jodie is passionate about developing an increased culture of understanding and acceptance of autism within the greater community. Her aspiration is to promote, educate and inspire positive change to enhance and enrich the lives of autistic individuals and their families/support networks.
